SYLVIE JARNIAS

I am in charge of two professional bachelor’s degree programs at the IUT in Valence:

- The Professional Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management, with a specialization in SME and SMI Management, offered under a professional training contract since 2009.
- The Professional Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management, with a specialization in SME and SMI Management, featuring a flexible schedule designed for students returning to school as part of continuing education, since 2012.

After completing a Master’s degree in Economics and Financial Management, I decided to pursue a Ph.D. in Management Sciences, specializing in Human Resource Management. My research interests were originally centered on competency management. While this topic remains central to my research, I have broadened my research focus to include other themes, particularly change management across different environments. I am also interested in issues related to roles and role conflicts. I also find great value in applying contextualist analysis to my work. I am currently working on a research project related to the nonprofit sector, focusing on an “original” form of governance—namely, “cooperation”—among social centers operating as nonprofit organizations.
