Cybersecurity

The Cybersecurity Institute aims to conduct innovative interdisciplinary research to address the challenges of cybersecurity and privacy protection. Our main areas of focus are low-cost secure components, secure critical infrastructure and its lifecycle management, vulnerability research, and global challenges in risk analysis and the validation of large-scale systems, including practical resilience in industry and society. Our approach is holistic, encompassing technical, legal, economic, social, diplomatic, military, and intelligence aspects, with strong partnerships in the private sector and privileged national and international collaborations with leading institutions in France and abroad.

CERAG collaborates with this CDP on issues related to cryptocurrency risks. The CDP funds a doctoral contract affiliated with EDSG on issues related to the microstructure of cryptocurrencies: Florentina Soiman ’s dissertation, co-supervised by Sonia Jimenez-Garcès (CERAG) and Jean-Guillaume Dumas (LJK).
 
Internships have been funded under this framework for several years for students in the M2R AFA (Advances in Finance and Accounting) track of the Grenoble IAE Master’s in Finance program, supervised by Radu Burlacu and Geoffroy Enjolras. In March 2021, a workshop on cryptocurrencies was organized by Jean-François Ponsot, an economist and member of PACTE who leads a work package on cryptocurrencies within this CDP, and Radu Burlacu of CERAG. The CDP also co-funded, along with CERAG, participation in international conferences where some doctoral students (notably Elise Alfieri) presented papers on issues related to cryptocurrencies.
