Drawing on a reflective review of my work in management, I outline the critical perspective I seek to bring to coaching, as well as to power, ethics, and collaborative spaces. By grappling directly with the subjectivity at the heart of the research process, my thesis offers a reflection on violence and research, and then lays the groundwork for an ethics of responsibility in research.
