ANR Contract Completed
Toward Better Business Models in the Healthcare and Digital Creative Industries Through Digital Technologies
Objective
Advances in digital technology present both opportunities and challenges for companies, which are increasingly seeking to address them by creating and implementing innovative business models.
This project seeks to understand how companies can create and implement innovative and effective business models using digital technologies. More specifically, we seek to explore the conceptual foundations of business models in the context of recent developments in strategic management, to analyze—through a comparative study across two sectors—the transformation of business models driven by digital technologies, and to identify the key drivers and barriers to the effective implementation of innovative business models.
The project takes a comparative case-study approach. It examines the design and implementation of innovative business models, as well as the drivers of their performance, in some 30 case studies from two sectors—healthcare and the creative industries—that are particularly exposed to digital technologies.
