PHD

In partnership with the Ecole Doctorale en Sciences de Gestion (EDSG), the CERAG laboratory hosts a large number of PhD students and researchers preparing for the Habilitation to Supervise Research.

The PHD in France

The PhD is a research training program that can last from 3 to 6 years, consisting of courses and the writing of a thesis under the supervision of a thesis director. A doctoral student is hosted by two structures a laboratory and a doctoral school.

The doctoral school is the structure that organizes and coordinates the doctoral degree. It handles all administrative procedures, from initial registration to thesis defense, right through to the award of the diploma. It also provides access to and guarantees doctoral training. It also organizes thesis follow-up.

The laboratory is the structure that brings together all researchers in a given discipline. It is responsible for welcoming doctoral students and integrating them into research teams. Doctoral students in management science are supervised by CERAG researchers.

For the 2023-2024 academic year, the CERAG have 67 doctoral students.

The Habilitation to Supervise Research

The Habilitation to Supervise Research (HDR) is the highest diploma in the French university system, enabling a researcher to supervise PhD students and young researchers. The diploma consists of a dossier to be prepared under the guidance of a tutor, and a defense at the end of which a jury of researchers awards the HDR.
